Global Health Governance

Rethinking the global health governance architecture to promote equity, access, and accountability.

About

The Global Health Governance project investigates how the structures of international organizations, law, and politics operate at national, regional, and global levels and how they can better serve access to health for all.

Our Work

We research the ways international institutions work, how international relations influence health worldwide, and how states operate with the real global political environment. We engage with policymakers and decision-makers at political forums such as G20 and the UN General Assembly on topics including HIV laws and policy, community-led monitoring, pandemic preparedness and response, equitable access to health technologies, WHO reform efforts, and international global health agreements. We work in partnership with civil society, multilateral organizations, and others to track, analyze, and advocate for improved health policies and service delivery; promote equity, accountability, and transparency in policymaking; and strengthen multilateral global health governance.
